A high-quality education in a safe and nurturing environment is one of the most important things that we can provide a child.  Here at Sts. Peter & Paul, we strive to educate the whole child - mind, body and spirit. Children of all faiths and backgrounds excel in our caring and academically challenging environment. Educational progress is measured through daily assessment and Iowa Basic Exams.  Currently our seventh graders test in the top one-third on the national average.  Our small classes allow for individualized education and an in-depth exploration of the curriculum.  Exposure to a variety of topics, people, and adventures all contribute to a fulfilling school experience.

Please remember to send gloves, hats and boots with your child

~ the weather can change quickly~

Classes go outside unless the temperature falls below 20 degrees

Important Medical Reminder: The flu season has officially arrived!  We ask that you please do not send your children to school if they have (1) fever and cough or (2) a fever and sore throat. They should not return to school until they are fever-free for 24 hours without the use of a fever reducer.

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Sts. Peter & Paul School is to teach Catholic Faith emphasizing a strong academic program, meeting the needs of the developing child physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.  This mission is accomplished through respect shown towards one another and an opening in our hearts and minds to all of God's wonders.

A Brief History of our School

The Catholic Parish in Doylestown was founded in 1827. The first parish school was established in 1862. The first nuns (HHM) were brought into the parish in 1883. Sisters of St. Dominic OP began teaching at Sts. Peter & Paul in 1906. The Akron Dominican Sisters left the parish in 1985. Our kindergarten opened in 1987. The school joined the parish in celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2002

Catholic Education in Doylestown
150 Years of Catholic Education in Doylestown: Did you know that in the past half century, Catholic schools across the United States have either closed or been consolidated at an alarming rate? That is one of the reasons why SPPS is so remarkable. We are a powerful witness to Catholic Education and the Catholic faith for 150 years.
The support of our parish community over many generations is definitely noteworthy.
This is why our work together as school parents and parishioners is so important and why we should remind ourselves that we are simply continuing the success and visions by those that went before us. SPPS stands strong, but we must never forget what has sustained this school for 150 years ~ beginning with a firm foundation in our faith and the many ways this is lived out. We see on a daily basis our support coming from both school parents and parishioners. SPPS is YOUR school whether you have children in the school or not.
We, the current school community will continue to promote this connection for the sake of not only ourselves but for the future SPPS students and graduates. We send a HUGE thank you to ALL Sts. Peter & Paul families. We truly have a long-standing success story and how awesome that WE are a part of this 150th year celebration! It goes without saying that without our school families and parishioners Sts. Peter & Paul School would not have made it 150 years. So at this time of giving, we offer a most gracious THANK YOU!

Our Staff

We have an experienced and dedicated group of teachers and administrators. Each teacher strives to create a supportive and challenging classroom atmosphere that allows children to reach their full potential.

Our staff and curriculum are certified by the State of Ohio. We have nine classroom teachers and five specialty teachers: technology, music, P.E., spanish and art. We also have a part-time librarian.

School Song

We are proud of our school and the unbroken rule
Obedience to God and our country
Since our nation took birth, Catholic schools proved their worth
Always first in American teaching

Prayer for Our Students

O Jesus, Lover of children, bestow Your most precious graces on those whom You have confided to our care. Increase in them Faith, Hope and Charity. May your love lead them to solid piety, inspiring them with dread for sin, and love of work. Preserve in them innocence and purity of heart. Watch over them day and night; protect them in all their ways. Grant that they may acquire the knowledge that they need to embrace the state of life to which You have called them. Grant us a sincere love, constant vigilance and generous devotedness towards them. We ask this through Christ, Our Lord. Amen
