Physical Education
Welcome to the 2011-2012 school year.  Physical Education is the phase of your child's education that contributes, primarily through movement experiences, to the total growth and development of each child.  The first goal of our physical education experience is to have each child develop a competency in physical skills.  The second goal is to incorporate fitness into each and every unit so that fitness becomes a part of the child's everyday life.  The third goal is to have each child understand the value of being physically active.  Physical education if a fun, active learning experience.
This year we will have Physical Education on Tuesday and Wednesday.  Below you will find the dress code requirements from the Student Handbook.

Proper attire is required to allow for full participation.
  1. White, gray or gold short-sleeved T-shirts are required. Shirts may be plain or have a Sts. Peter & Paul logo.

  2. Shorts may be navy blue, gold or black with a minimum 5-inch inseam. Gray, blue or black sweatpants may be worn in colder weather.

  3. Field day shirts and sweatshirts may only be worn in gym classes.

  4. Sports shoes must be worn for grades K-8. White or non-marking soles are recommended. These shoes should be a different pair from their school shoes in grades 3-8.

  5. White athletic socks are required.

  6. Students in grades 1-8 are required to dress for gym.

Please make sure your child has his/her tennis shoes and P.E. clothes on these days.  This along with participation, behavior, and any assignments will make up your child's grade.  Keep in mind: We will be active!!!  I am looking forward to a great year.
