Our Mission Statement:
The mission of Sts. Peter & Paul School is to teach Catholic Faith emphasizing a strong academic
program, meeting the needs of the developing child physically, socially, emotionally, spiritually and intellectually.
This mission is accomplished through respect shown towards one another and an opening in our hearts
and minds to all of God's wonders.
A Brief History of our School:
The Catholic Parish in Doylestown was founded in 1827. The first parish school was established
in 1862. The first nuns (HHM) were brought into the parish in 1883. Sisters of St. Dominic OP began teaching at
Sts. Peter & Paul in 1906. The Akron Dominican Sisters left the parish in 1985. Our kindergarten opened in
1987. The school joined the parish in celebrating its 175th anniversary in 2002.
